Can it be repaired, or do I need a whole new roof?
Usually repaired. A re-roof is worth it once slates are slipping across the whole slope rather than in one spot, or once you have paid for the same repair twice. We will tell you which one you are looking at.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can give you a ballpark from your description, and it costs you nothing. What we will not do is quote a firm price sight unseen — roofs hide things, and a number that moves once we are up there helps nobody. The fixed price comes after we have surveyed it.
How fast can you get to a leak?
Get in touch and describe it. For an active leak we will get to you as quickly as we can and, where it is needed, cover the roof temporarily to stop the water while we price the proper repair.
Will the job need scaffolding?
Small repairs are done off ladders or a tower. Re-roofs and most chimney work need a scaffold, which we arrange with an insured contractor and include in the written quote.
Do you handle storm damage?
Yes. After a blow we prioritise making roofs safe and watertight — securing loose tiles, covering what is exposed — then book the permanent repair once materials are in.
